Prize draw on a clip

A prize draw is a tool on the clip: a button that opens a small form. Viewers enter what you ask for and accept the terms of participation. You collect the entries in the studio and export them as CSV. Prize draws come with the Pro plan and above.

Setting it up

  1. Open a clip in the editor and click Prize draw in the Tools tab. The element lies on the stage and can be moved, turned and resized like any tool.
  2. Enter a Title, for example "Win two tickets", and label the Button (empty means "Enter").
  3. Under What do you ask for? pick the fields: Name, E-mail, Mobile number, Address, Date of birth. Ask only for what you really need; every field is personal data.
  4. Enter the link to the terms of participation. Without terms the clip cannot be created, because no prize draw may run without them.
  5. Optional: Offer a newsletter checkbox with your own text beside it. It is never pre-ticked and separate from the entry.

You set the colour of the button under Colour of the element or via the colour dot in the toolbar; empty means the organisation's accent colour.

What viewers see

A tap on the button opens the form over the clip. Meanwhile the clip plays on and repeats once, then the story moves on. Every viewer enters once; anyone who closes the form can open it again later.

Viewing the entries

  1. Open Reactions and the Contests tab. It appears as soon as a prize draw has entries.
  2. Each prize draw has a table with the time and the fields you asked for, plus whether the newsletter was ticked.
  3. CSV downloads the entries. With the checkboxes you delete entries, for example after the draw.

Rights and responsibility

  • Whoever has the Prize draws right in the rights matrix under Settings → Team may view and export entries (default: admins and editors). Deleting stays with admins.
  • You are responsible for this data; SwypeCast only keeps it for you. Delete it as soon as you no longer need it, and mention the prize draw in your privacy policy under Settings → Legal.
